Purslowe Funerals and Chipper Funerals have come together to bring more than 235 years of combined experience caring for families.
In late 2017, the Myaree funeral home was refurbished to give families a welcoming place to celebrate what life meant to their loved ones. We opened our doors as Purslowe & Chipper Funerals in December 2017.
The Myaree funeral home is south-east of Perth, on Norma Road, which connects to both Leach Highway and Canning Highway.
Values – we all hold them dear. Some drive us, some inspire us and they can say a lot about us.
We're proud to serve Myaree families and those in surrounding communities including Booragoon, Alfred Cove, Melville, Willagee, Winthrop, Adross, Mount Pleasant, Brentwood, Applecross, Bateman and more.
Purslowe & Chipper Funerals Myaree is centrally located in Myaree with neighbours including Rebel Sports, Leach Highway, the Garden City Shopping Centre Booragoon and local parks including Robert Street Park Winthrop, Marmion Reserve Myaree, and Len Shearer Reserve Booragoon.
Our Myaree team can help bring your family together to arrange a funeral service that truly celebrates and honours the life and values of your loved one.
The team at Purslowe & Chipper Funerals Myaree are with you every step of the way, keeping you informed and guiding you through the arrangements as much or as little as you need.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I get a lot of satisfaction from my job knowing that I've helped a family through a very difficult time. Just receiving that "thank you" makes it all worthwhile.
How long have you been location manager?
I have been in the funeral industry since 1980, approximately 35 years, and have now been a manager for Chippers for about 12 years now, and previously with Purslowe Funerals for about 5 years as a manager.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy the company of my wife and family and spending time with my granddaughter. I enjoy trips to the movies, the theatre, dining out and when possible a cruise ship holiday.
Are there any special community groups you work with or support?
My involvement with the community is through my local church. I have a good working relationship with the Bull Creek Lions Club in regards to the Lions Save Sight program collecting old reading glasses. I am a member of my local Men's Shed and also volunteer as bus driver for the local Aged Care Facility.
Our chapel seats up to 50 guests.
There are 25 on-site parking bays.
Purslowe & Chipper Funerals supports a range of community programs designed to help the young and old alike, as well as hosting memorial services and informational seminars.
We are members of your local social group, sporting club and church. We're as proud of the support we provide to community organisations and programs as we are of the care we provide to families.
Preplanning your funeral makes sense. A prepaid funeral takes the emotional stress off your family, locks in your funeral cost at today’s price, and allows you to plan things your way.
In the Book of Ideas, funeral directors have shared some of their stories of how families have honoured their loved ones, so that you can draw inspiration for your own funeral arrangements.
When you're organising a funeral service, one of the first decisions will be whether you are organising a burial or a cremation. This choice will directly impact the type of funeral service you will have.
