Yes, our partner, Guardian Plan, offers multiple payment options. Once you agree the price of your Guardian plan prepaid funeral plan, you can either pay in full or pay a 30% deposit, followed by monthly instalments over 12, 24 or 36 months. Any outstanding instalment balance is required to be paid at the time of arranging the funeral.
Your funeral plan can usually be transferred to another provider within our extensive, Australia-wide network. So, if you move to a different state and want to change the location of your funeral service, we can accommodate that. Talk to us if your situation changes – we’re here to help.
You can plan as much or as little as you like. You’re welcome to decide on everything down to the music, readings and food served at the reception. But if you’d rather keep it light on the details, that’s fine too. We’ll make a record of your wishes.
Your money is securely held until the time comes to carry out the funeral.
Funds are invested with the Over Fifty Guardian Friendly Society Limited, which appoints investment managers with appropriate expertise to manage the investments, in accordance with guidelines established by the Society, regulated by APRA.
When your family is ready, they can call the funeral director you nominate in your funeral plan. We’ll explain the next steps and take care of the service, following the plan you created.
